Experience
Attorney Beth Karon Goldberg has spent more than thirty years helping children and adults living with a wide variety of disabilities and special needs. Her unique perspective and problem-solving skills have been shaped by her previous careers as a public school special education teacher and a social worker.
Attorney Goldberg has extensive experience advocating on behalf of students involved with the major state and local agencies, including the Department of Children and Families (formerly the Department of Social Services,) the Department of Developmental Services (formerly the Department of Mental Retardation,) the Department of Youth Services and the Department of Mental Health, as well as the juvenile and probate courts.
She has worked with children and adults attending both public and private schools throughout Massachusetts, with particular focus in Bristol, Norfolk, Middlesex and Plymouth Counties. As a special education teacher, prior to her legal career, Attorney Goldberg specialized in educating middle school students with intellectual and learning disabilities. After receiving her Masters Degree, she worked in a variety of hands-on and supervisory roles in specialized foster care, early intervention and supported vocational programs.
Attorney Goldberg is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and has been licensed in Massachusetts as a Certified Social Worker and as a Moderate Special Needs/Elementary Education Teacher.
